1% rise in UK hallmarking for full year 2015

The Birmingham Assay Office has released full-year 2015 hallmarking figures for the UK’s four assay offices, revealing an annual rise of 1.0% compared to 2014’s figures.

A total of 10,495,355 articles were assayed in the UK in 2015 compared to 10,395,236 in 2014.

Gold and platinum articles hallmarked were up compared to last year, while silver and palladium saw a decline in the amount of articles hallmarked.
