Affiliate marketing lifts Jewel Hut sales by 12%

Branded jewellery retailer works with OPM; reports record sales.

Online branded jewellery retailer The Jewel Hut has reported on the success of an outsourced affiliate marketing program, with a sales lift of 12% in 12 months.

The TH Baker-owned business partnered with Europe’s largest affiliate marketing company, Optimus Performance Marketing (OPM),last summer to help drive The Jewel Hut’s online outreach within the UK.

The Jewel Hut has since reported a rise in its UK affiliate sales, increasing from 1.5% to 12% in the space of a year. It also achieved record sales revenue in December 2012. Today, on average, The Jewel Hut says about 12% of its total online sales are from affiliates, due to its work with OPM, – against its target of 10%.

Tasks carried out by OPM on behalf of The Jewel Hut include management of the affiliate program, the translation of marketing strategies into affiliate engagement, the management of promotions and codes and detailed reporting to deliver ROI measurement back to the company.

The Jewel Hut’s e-commerce manager Saiqa Bi said: “OPM were bought on board in July 2012 to manage the growth of The Jewel Hut UK affiliate program. Optimus are very well known in the affiliate industry which enabled them to really push forward the program’s ROI objectives and raise awareness of our affiliate program, products and USPs. The team at OPM have been willing to work with us with great flexibility, contributing proactively as well as adapting their approach to fit with our marketing objectives and targets.”

The Jewel Hut was launched in 2006, with the aim of selling branded jewellery at affordable prices. It currently offers jewellery from more than 50 fine and fashion brands including Pandora, Thomas Sabo, Links of London, Tresor Paris, Fiorelli, Rachel Galley, Henrich & Denzel and Swarovski.
