Crocheted bracelets feature gemstone-set mix n match flower designs.
Belgian jewellery brand Alex F, which premiered its collections at London Jewellery Week, has launched a new range of friendship bracelets, with a mix’n’match concept.
Pushing technical boundaries, the collection features interchangeable gold plated flowes set with different gemstones including diamonds and rubellited.
Each bracelet is crocheted and available in over 30 vibrant colours, from which the flower decoration can be removed and interchanged. The designs are said to fuse jewellery with fashion.
The brand launched in 2010 with a jewellery range focused on the Hamsa amulet. Alex F took this symbol, which is ubiquitous in both Jewish an Arabic tradition, and artfully cut it into a diamond, then set it in gold.
The Hamsa collection took 18 month in development to achieve this result, due to considerations such as rough diamond shape, technical difficulties, proportions and brilliance.
The brand says the Hamsa collection has been selling very well in the UK.
Alex F’s new collection again seeks to push some technical boundaries. Alex commented: “We have developed a totally unique concept that not only pioneers cutting edge in technology, but also encapsulates the needs of today’s consumer and the world of fast fashion we live in.”
