Company shows Stefan Hafner, Poratti and Valente Milano at Houlden.
Alfred Terry showed off jewels from its luxury division Leading Italian Jewels for the first time in the UK yesterday at the Houlden Group buyers’ meeting in London.
The company showed off lavish fine jewels from Italian brands Stefan Hafner, Poratti and Valente Milano.
At present the brands have no distribution in the UK, but Alfred Terry is hoping to introduce the high-end brands to the market.
Alfred Terry chief executive Steve Wright said: "These brands have a strong international presence but zero distribution in the UK at present.
"This was the first time we have shown our Italian brands in the UK and the response was really positive. I think it shows the new direction Alfred Terry is beginning to take."
Stefan Hafner, Poratti and Valente fall under Alfred Terry’s newly created luxury division, Leading Italian Jewels. Also in the group are Nouvelle Bague and Io Si.
Alfred Terry will take the Italian brands to BaselWorld in April, placing them on a separate stand to its mainline Alfred Terry and Abbeycrest lines. BaselWorld will also mark the launch of new websites for the Leading Italian Jewels brands and a new retail concept for Stefan Hafner.
