New brand wins over crowds as it makes its debut at a trade event.

AmiAnna has been named The Company of Master Jeweller’s Best Designer at its trade event in Birmingham this weekend, scooping the award on its trade show debut.

The brand was founded by former jewellery retailer Raji Ashwin and features collections of wire-wrapped silver and gold vermeil designs as well as friendship bracelets and heart-shaped pendants.

AmiAnna had previously caught the attention of the CMJ and was invited to be a guest designer at this weekend’s trade event, the first time that it has been presented to the wider jewellery trade.

Ashwin is working with former Charles Fish buyer Duncan Groves on building the brand’s presence in the UK and has recently launched the AmiAnna website, showcasing its four collections – Ravish, Entwined, My Story Is, and My Letter Is – as well as offering a bespoke service.

Ashwin told Professional Jeweller the brand had enjoyed interest from retailers at the CMJ event and had also signed its first major order with a UK retailer.

AmiAnna won the Best Designer award against a line-up of brands including Missoma, former Best Designer winner Lily & Lotty, Rachel Galley, Katie Rowland and Shaun Leane.
