Designer opts for lower-priced precious metal mixed with diamonds.

Ana de Costa is delving into the popular silver market by using the precious metal in all her white-coloured metal collections on her stand at The Jewellery Show.

De Costa has managed to keep her price points competitive by mixing silver with precious stones such as diamonds, rather than opting for more expensive platinum or white gold.

The jeweller, who is building up a strong following in the US as well as the UK, is showcasing her silver collections at The Jewellery Show in Birmingham this week.

She told Professional Jeweller: “Any white metal you see on my stand is silver. I thought I could do something quite clever but still keeping it fine jewellery, and price point-wise it’s great.”
