Fine jewellery brand Andrew Geoghegan has announced the appointment of Catherine Strangward as sales director.

Strangward has a jewellery-focused background, having successfully represented Cartier in the UK and Ireland for 20 years. She will spearhead the brand’s relaunch in the coming months, focusing on existing retail partners and new account acquisitions.

Owner, designer and managing director Andrew Geoghegan commented: “2015 is set to be a fantastic year and appointing Catherine is the first and most important step in realising the brand’s potential. Catherine will primarily ensure the business is focusing on established retail partners and making sure they are given our full support.

“There is also a small group of new accounts that we will be aiming to partner with and Catherine will be instrumental in achieving this. As any designer within the industry will concede, design is my true passion, and of equal importance is the idea that I will now have more time to focus on business development. I urge the industry to keep a keen eye on the AG brand this year.”

Strangward added: “For the past 20 years I have been surrounded by jewellery that is considered amongst the most beautiful and sought-after in the world. On meeting with Andrew, I saw jewellery that encompassed that very same luxury feeling.

“Andrew’s passion for his work, teamed with exceptional products, were the reason I wanted to become part of what is just the beginning of the inspirational AG story. I look forward to working with Andrew, getting to know the existing AG clients, strengthening bonds and introducing the brand to a wider audience as well as growing the network.”
