Argenteus donates necklace to cancer charity

Celebrities support Splash of Pink Fashion Show and Couture Tea.

Argenteus has donated an exclusive sliver and sapphire necklace to the Splash of Pink Fashion Show and Couture Tea.

The event will be held in Thame, Oxfordshire, on September 25 in support of charity Against Breast Cancer. It will be hosted by Dwina and Robin Gibb at their family home and will feature a live catwalk fashion show.

Designers involved include: Paul Costelloe, John Rocha, Pringles, Burberry Porsum, Matthew Williamson, Preen, Erdem, Diane von Furstenberg and many others.

High-profile celebrities are supporting the occasion, including: Simon Cowell (a patron of the charity); his mother, Julie Cowell (Against Breast Cancer honorary president); Ben Shephard (patron); Duncan Bannatyne, Lucy and Greg Rusedski, Paul Costelloe and Jimmy Choo.

In the afternoon, a charity auction will be held offering the Argenteus necklace, specially commissioned from designer Julie Ann Comely, in addition to a number of pieces from other designers. The event will close with a live music performance by Robin Gibb.

Argenteus creative director Fiona Mawson said: “This is a cause close to Argenteus for many reasons both personal and professional and we’ve been working closely with the organisers towards this event for some months. Its sure to be a spectacular occasion.”

Against Breast Cancer is a charity focussing on research into secondary spread breast cancer and a vaccine against the disease.

Tickets are available at £200 per person, £2,000 for a table of ten, or £1,200 for a table of six. Donations can be made via the charity website at www.againstbreastcancer.org.uk/donate or through any Argenteus store between now and Christmas.
