Retailer lauds the importance of supporting British jewellery industry
Jewellery retailer Argenteus will sponsor The Exhibition at Oxford Fashion Week for the second time this year.
The event, which is in its second year, will be held at the iconic Cherwell Boathouse in Oxford on May 6.
Argenteus will run a free prize draw for Oxford Fashion Week attendees to win a silver charm bracelet by jewellery designer Julie Ann Comley.
Argenteus managing director Ian Middleton said: “British design talent is amongst the best in the world and encouraging new and emerging jewellery artisans across the UK continues to be a very important part of what Argenteus does.
“Oxford Fashion Week represents a fantastic opportunity for Argenteus to engage with new designers and the best embryonic talent at an early stage in their careers, as well providing a platform for the city to underline its importance on the UK and world fashion maps. We’re delighted to see OFW move into its second year and hope to be associated with it for many years to come.”
Argenteus specialises in selling jewellery by British-based designers and has stores in Oxford and London’s Covent Garden. It recently closed its Bristol store on April 10 but has plans to expand the business in 2010.
