Art Deco designs hold their own at Chiswick Auctions jewellery sale


London-based auction house Chiswick Auctions saw the popularity of Art Deco designs soar at its jewellery and watch auction on May 26.

Highlights of the 200-lot auction included an 18ct white gold and diamond bracelet set with eight carats of diamonds, which sold for £3,840 including buyer’s premium (pictured).

An Art Deco 18ct gold and diamond double clip brooch with a foliate carved emerald (below) also sold for £2,160 including buyer’s premium, while an 18ct gold Georg Jensen bracelet with princess-cut diamonds circa 1960 sold for £4,560.

However, the real star of the auction was a 1990s gents gold Rolex Oyster wristwatch which sold for £6,240 including buyer’s premium.
