Three contemporary silversmiths have been selected to become ambassadors of British Silver Week 2010.

Claire Ransom, Theresa Nguyen and Olivia Lowe were announced as the silversmiths of choice for this year’s celebration of silver at an awards ceremony in London yesterday.

British Silver Week is in its third year this year and will launch on June 7. During the week more than 15 selling exhibitions will take place across the UK at locations including Hamilton & Inches in Edinburgh, De Vroomen Design in London, Jamieson & Carry in Aberdeen and Urban Armour in Norfolk.

More than 20 silversmiths will take part in British Silver Week with contemporary designers such as Abigail Brown and James Dougall, and classical silversmiths such as Steve Wager.
