Baccarat boosts web presence with e-commerce site

UK online shop to act a further distribution network for brand.

Crystal brand Baccarat has launched a new e-commerce site for UK customers, enhancing the online presence of the brand and building the "Baccarat experience" for consumers.

Transactional wesbites have been rolled out by Baccarat since 2012 starting with China and Japan and extending to the US, Italy, France and Germany.

The launch of the UK website creates a new online distribution network in the brand in the UK and allows British shoppers to explore the entire Baccarat range online.

As well as an interactive catalogue for purchasing products the new site features content in the form of video interviews with international designers such as Philippe Starck, Yann Kersale and Jaime Hayon and articles on the history Baccarat world and its Art of Living concept.

Sales opportunities are created by this content which provides visitors with links to featured product.

Baccarat said in a statement: "Just like the product range that continues to reinvent itself, this step establishes the brand in a new digital era, merging heritage, expertise and modernity."

The brand launched its first men’s jewellery collection at BaselWorld in April.
