Baccarat launches first men’s jewellery collection

Crystal dog tags and wrap bracelets part of debut range.

French crystal brand Baccarat has revealed its first full men’s jewellery collection at BaselWorld, as the brand makes its move into new design sectors.

The new range, B Homme, is part of the brand’s 2013 collections which celebrate one of the crystal company’s most recognisable glassware designs, dating back 170 years.

The brand has to date made men’s cufflinks using its crystal but has now extended its offer to include dog tag-style pendants, rubber wrap bracelets with faceted crystal at the centre, and men’s rings.

The crystal hues include clear, smoked grey, blue and a rich red, the latter created using elements of 24ct gold to give it a bright, ruby colour.

Each of the pieces bears a small red enamelled dot, a signature of all Baccarat products and a feature of its crystal chandeliers where a red crystal is used.

The new men’s collection has RRPs from €330 (£279) for a pair of cufflinks to €390 (£330) for a pendant, and will officially launch in May.

In 2011 Baccarat announced Dominique Delale as the new vice-president of its jewellery and accessories business. Her work has introduced new routes for the brand at this year’s BaselWorld, including its first all-metal designs such as plain silver cuffs, long silver chains and drop earrings.
