Back to basics for Ole Lynggaard’s 50th birthday

Brand pays tribute to its "designs for life" in new campaign.

Danish jewellery brand Ole Lynggaard has unveiled the first in a number of tributes to its 50th anniversary – which takes place in 2013 – as it focuses on a new campaign called Back to Basics.

The brand showcased new images from the campaign a BaselWorld, with Danish model Helena Christensen remaining the face of Ole Lynggaard until 2014.

The brand is set to focus on its more classic jewellery pieces such as its Lotus collection in 2013 as a tribute to designs "made not just for now, but for life".

Charlotte Lynggaard, the brand’s designer and daughter of its founder Ole Lynggaard, said: “Good design and craftsmanship go far beyond fashion, seasons, and trends. My passion is design and craftsmanship, and I am fascinated by the jewellers behind the jewellery, by their thoughts, and history."

The campaign features Christensen weairng vintage dresses and uniforms from World War I and has been inspired by the work of Swedish artist John Bauer.
