Family-run independent retailer TT Jewellers has successfully relocated from Northamptonshire to Abingdon, Oxfordshire, with the help of funding from NatWest worth £142,000.

Owner Tho-Thanh Nguyen – known as TT – now has big hopes for further expansion, including hiring more staff and building an online presence.

Nguyen founded the business in 2002 after family connections in the jewellery industry encouraged him to launch his own shop.  He started out with a tiny store in Northamptonshire and now has a major high street presence Oxfordshire.

TT Jewellers sources all its own gemstones and creates unique pieces, which are exclusive to the store.

Nguyen runs the business with his wife, and says that it’s not only what it sells that’s important, but how it’s presented too.

The owner explains: “Because of how we source our stones, no two of our pieces are the same, and we hand-wrap them so as to present them in the nicest way possible. We want our new customers in Abingdon to feel like the jewellery they buy is special, so we try hard to imbue everything we do with a personal touch.
