Organisers say show endorses new-found industry positivity.

Attendance at BaselWorld 2010 was up 7 percent on last year, according to the show’s organisers.

About 100,700 buyers from 100 countries visited the show, which took place in Basel, Switzerland over eight days.

BaselWorld exhibitors’ committee president Jacques Duchêne said: “We are delighted with this year’s BaselWorld. Without being euphoric, we can optimistically look ahead this year. The show is and remains the place to meet for the watch and jewellery industry.”
