Former head of retail Anna Blackburn steps up to top job.

Beaverbrooks has appointed Anna Blackburn as its new CEO.

Blackburn has joined Beaverbrooks straight from university in 1998, and has worked her way up to become head of retail since 2012, a role in which she oversees the operations of the chain’s 65 stores across the UK.

“I’ve been a part of Beaverbrooks for my entire career and believe whole heartedly in our business and our people,” said Blackburn in her first statement as CEO.

“I’m thrilled to take the position of CEO and want to build on the fantastic company we have, ultimately creating exceptional experiences for our customers.”

Mark Adlestone, chairman of Beaverbrooks added: “I am delighted to announce Anna Blackburn’s appointment as our new CEO. Anna understands both our stores and our people. She has a real passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. I am personally excited to see her undertake this new position and drive the business forward.”

Blackburn replaces Daniel Brown, who stepped down as Beaverbrooks CEO in September after only 16 months in the job. He had previously spent 18 years at the family-owned business.
