The Cass graduate experimenting with glue to create her jewels.
Carina de Jager graduated with a foundation degree in Jewellery and Silversmithing in June 2013 and has since exhibited at IJL as a Bright Young Gem and as part of the Desire fair in Chelsea, London, under her own name.
Her pieces are created initially using glue and wax, which Carina sculpts into designs that are then cast in sterling silver. Having taken part in The Goldsmiths’ Company’s Getting Started program, she plans to exhibit her work further at trade and retail fairs in 2014, while seeking retail stockists.
