We take a look at the conceptual work of this RCA jewellery student.
Royal College of Art jewellery student Christopher Thompson Royds takes a very conceptual approach to jewellery design, and says he is interested in jewellery as “a token, whether it be of love, wealth or memory”.
This Guylian Cuff from Royds’ Tokens collection was once an empty tray of Guylian chocolates that has been cast in silver. “I looked at how people give chocolates as small tokens of thanks, and created pieces of jewellery that would be a lasting reminder of that,” Royds says.
