Bespoke jeweller named in Queen’s New Year’s Honours List

The founder of The Diamond Studio in Glasgow has been granted an MBE respectively by the Queen as part of Her Majesty’s New Year’s Honours List.

Summera Naheed Shaheen has been awarded the MBE for her services to business and the community in Glasow.

Shaheen founded The Diamond Studio, based in Wellington Street, Glasgow, in 2006, and specialises in ‘highly personal’ jewellery.

The businesswoman is also a former director of anti-poverty organisation Faith in Community.

The Diamond Studio is a jewellery suite in Scotland, which emphasises on providing a personal, friendly, and luxury service to everyone who visits.

The retailer is also the official jeweller for Scotland’s National Team, Northern Ireland’s National Team, Fulham and Aberdeen. The business also supports a variety of charities, with Shaheen writing on her LinkedIn page: “Life of course as we all know is not all diamonds and we are committed to charity, supporting many charitable causes.”
