Retail and service stars gather in Solihull for annual celebration.

The British Jewellers’ Association has revealed the winners of its 2014 awards, which recognise the successes of the best retailers and designers among its members.

The annual awards ceremony took place in Solihull this week, with the trophies, designed by Rebecca Joselyn, presented by the BJA’s chief executive officer Simon Rainer.

The E-tailer of the Year Award was presented to Gemporia, the omni-channel retailer owned by The Genuine Gemstone Company.

Newcomer of the year was Rare Pink, an online retailer of British-made, custom-designed diamond engagement rings and other jewellery.

BJA retailer of the year was H&Y Jewellery, a luxury boutique in London’s Knightsbridge that specialises in rare and limited edition watches and fine jewellery.

BJA designer of the year was Collette Waudby, who specialises in affordable luxury silver collections.

Supplier of the year was Magpie Ltd, which manufactures and distributes GemTags jewellery.

BJA member of the year was Presman Mastermeilts, which provides a range of recycling services to the jewellery and silverware industry from its offices in London’s Hatton Garden and in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
