The event is held annually in aid of the British Jewellery Giftware & Finishing Federation Benevolent Society. The money raised financially assists those who worked in the jewellery, giftware, luggage, travelgoods & accessories and surface engineering sectors.

Simon Rainer, chief executive of the British Jewellers’ Association (BJA), one of the BJGF’s trade associates, said: “This event is seen as the highlight of the jewellery social calendar and regularly attracts 300-400 members of the UK jewellery world, many of whom have deep pockets and are terrific supporters of this charity.”
