Ballerina Collection to raise money for children’s charity icandance.

Brown & Newirth and retailer Green + Benz have joined forces to offer a collection of diamond rings that will be sold to raise money for the children’s charity icandance.

The companies have pledged £100 from the sale of every engagement ring, and £50 from every wedding ring sold from the Ballerina collection at Green + Benz’s four stores to icandance. The rings are part of Brown & Newirth’s existing Very Vintage range.

The icandance charity offers fun and interactive performance sessions for children and young people with varying disabilities to help boost their confidence and aid well-being.

Helen Dimmick, managing director at Green + Benz, said: “Ballet has always been my second passion after jewellery – I trained via the Royal Academy of Dancing for 16 years – and after I was introduced to this wonderful charity via a friend I just had to be involved.

“The work they do with the children is truly awe-inspiring, you can see how every moment really captures their imagination and the true joy of dance. I am honoured and privileged to be able to give something in return, and I cannot thank Brown & Newirth enough for this charitable partnership.”

Dimmick approached Brown & Newirth sales director John Ball to discuss the icandance project and the two companies working together.

He said: As a dad to three fit and healthy children I jumped at the opportunity to partner with this truly incredible organisation, especially when I witnessed at first hand the astonishing work that the charity do for both the children and their parents.

“Spending time at icandance was some of the most inspirational and emotional I can remember in my life time.”

The rings have also been given a ballet twist, having been named after famous ballet dancers, including Darcey Bussell and Anna Pavlova.

Juliet Diener, founder and principal at icandance, said the partnership between Brown & Newirth and Green + Benz will help give more children and young people a chance to perform.

Diener said: “We are so grateful to be supported by the creative partnership of Green + Benz and Brown & Newirth. Through their generosity more children with disabilities will be able to experience the joy of dance and be given the opportunity to perform.”
