Swiss high jewellery brand’s shop design inspired by Gerhard Richter.
Swiss high jewellery brand Bogh-Art is set to open its first London boutique in early November as it seeks to reach international clientele.
The brand will open on London’s Bond Street, an area it dubs a "highly desired destination", close to jewellers including Tiffany & Co., Asprey and Boodles.
Bogh-Art was founded in 2007 by the Boghossian family, which has been involved with the gemstone industry for four generations. They base their business on the philosophy of not simply being "one more jeweller", working with fine and rare gems, and blending new and ancient jewellery-making techniques.
The forthcoming Bond Street store has been specially created for the brand and is set to house its high jewellery, Art of Inlay and new material creations. The space will be split over two levels with rich tones of beige, gold and bronze embellished with accents of amethyst hues.
The store design has been inspired by the works of artist Gerhard Richter and its architects, StudioParisien, have designed "an illusionistic space, calling upon the finest craftsmen in Paris for the textiles, lighting and furniture".
The focal point of the design is a wall mounted sculpture in bronze, an oversized broach inlaid with rock crystal.
