Helen Haddow has been confirmed as the new CEO of Houlden Group.
She takes over the role from the buying group’s long standing chairman and CEO Stuart Laing, who will step down in January but will remain on the executive board until June 2017.
Houlden will split the roles of chairman and CEO, Mr Laing revealed.
A few candidates are already under consideration for chairman, but other Houlden members are welcome to apply this week during the group’s summer meeting in East Sussex.
A new executive board has been created that will tackle key roles. Keith Gill is the new membership director, Patrick Keane becomes training director, Chris Carry overseas buying, and Ashley Pugh heads business development.
Mr Laing will handle marketing until a new director is appointed. “Stuart will still be around,” Ms Haddow told members.
