Lily Bella snaps up company and plots relaunch for 10th anniversary.
Bridal jewellery company Yarwood-White has been bought by veil and hair accessories brand Lily Bella.
The management behind the Lily Bella brand, which is known for its vintage-style bird cage veils, said that the synergy between the two brands as bridalwear suppliers was a “perfect match of philosophy and talents and will significantly accelerate Lily Bella’s growth trend” as it pushes into other areas of the bridal market.
Lily Bella owner Kirsty Griffiths has said that her team plans to execute a relaunch of the Yarwood-White brand, overhauling both its retail and wholesale operations. Griffiths said that changes should be completed by January, in time for the bridal jewellery brand’s 10th anniversary in 2013.
Griffiths said: “We are extremely pleased to announce the completion of the acquisition of Yarwood-White. Yarwood-White has a storied history of providing high quality, beautifully designed bridal jewellery to brides across the UK and has done so throughout the past decade.
“We plan to use Yarwood-White as the platform to expand our diversification into several bridal markets across the UK. We see this acquisition as the perfect opportunity to grow the Lily Bella and Yarwood-White brands.”
Yarwood-White was founded in Cobham, Surrey, in 2003 by designer Claire Yarwood-White who turned a passion for weddings into a business. It specialises in jewellery to be worn by a bride on her wedding day – cuffs, earrings and brooches, rather than engagement and wedding rings – and has been worn by a number of celebrities including Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue.
