British Museum picks Sima Vaziry for exhibition

Designer’s Afghan Hidden Heart range to support exhibition in March.

Jewellery designer Sima Vaziry’s work has been chosen by the British Museum to form part of its Afghanistan: Crossroads of the Ancient World exhibition in March.

Nine pieces of jewellery from Vaziry’s Hidden Afghan Heart collection, which was first shown at the Afghan Fashion Show in October, will be on display in the British Museum to support the exhibition which opens in London on March 3 and is supported by the Bank of America and Merrill Lynch.

Vaziry’s work is inspired by Afghan and Persian art, calligraphy, architecture and cultures. She is based in London’s Hatton Garden and teaches at The London Jewellery School.
