Buccellati chief exec wins place on Mulberry board

Thierry Andretta joins board as independent non-executive director.

English leather goods and fashion brand Mulberry has appointed Buccellati chief executive officer Thierry Andretta to its board as an independent non-executive director.

The brand said it was pleased to announce the appointment of Andretta, who begins his role with immediate effect.

He has a long-standing background in the luxury goods industry, joining Buccellati in July 2013, prior to which he was chief executive officer of French couture label Lanvin.

Before Lanvin, Andretta held various senior executive positions at Moschino, Replay USA, Belfe, the Gucci Group, LVMH, Céline and Emanuel Ungaro.

Mulberry executive chairman Godfrey Davis said: "I would like to welcome Thierry to the board and we look forward to working with him as we continue to build Mulberry into a global luxury brand. Thierry brings with him a wealth of luxury brand experience and I am confident that he will make a valuable contribution to the company."
