Budding jewellery designer wins Clogau photo comp

SEO specialist Judith Lewis wins bespoke jewel with 126 Facebook likes

Professional Jeweller can now announce that Judith Lewis is the winner of the Clogau Gold Photo Booth Competition held at the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 party in association with the Company of Master Jewellers.

The jewellery retailer and SEO specialist has won a bespoke piece of jewellery from Clogau Gold as her prize. Her winning snap taken on the night of the party, which showed her resplendent in a crown with glass of wine firmly in hand, garnered 126 likes when it was posted on Professional Jeweller’s Facebook page – the highest of all the pictures posted.

Lewis, who sells jewellery for the New Age market through sites newmoon.uk.com and dragonsfire.co.uk, said that she had reached out to her social networks to help her win the competition.

She added: "I did engage my network for likes and while my powers of persuasion were somewhat lacking through some channels, I found that a single day of intensive engagement helped me convince colleagues, friends and followers to check out and like my picture, and I am grateful to them all. While I may not have had 100% success, at least a lot of people knew I was at a party."

Her success in the Clogau Gold Photo Booth was in fact a double win, as Lewis had won tickets to the Hot 100 party through Hot 100 Diamond Partner IJL’s Twitter competition. On the night of the party she Tweeted "*the* jewellery event of the year & I’m at it!" and later described the party as an "awesome night".

While Lewis’s day job outside of her jewellery retail business involves talking, writing and advising about online and search marketing, she said that she has plans to design and create her own jewellery collection for the first time.

Lewis will be one step closer to that dream as she begins to work with the Clogau Gold design team to create her bespoke piece of jewellery.

Clogau Gold brand manager Sonia Menezes said: "Congratulations to Judith on winning the hotly contested Clogau Photo Booth Competition. All of the photos were fantastic and we’re delighted so many people took away a memento of a very enjoyable evening."

The Clogau Gold Photo Booth was made available to guests at the Hot 100 party all night, allowing those invited to take away a photo of themselves with friends and colleagues.
