The new store will further the company’s South East expansion plans.
Independent retailer Chisholm Hunter is opening a new store in Kingston upon Thames in April as part of a continuing expansion plan throughout the South East of England.
The company is taking over the Leslie Davis store in The Bentall Centre, creating 12 new jobs.
This latest development follows the acquisition of the former EW Payne store in Bromley, and the opening of its flagship Bluewater store 18 months ago.
The Kingston store, which marks the 19th opening for the company, will feature a luxurious showroom for customers to browse diamond jewellery, engagement and wedding rings, plus Swiss timepieces, fashion watches and fashion jewellery ranges.
Director of Chisholm Hunter, Tracey Brown, said: “We are delighted to procure yet another store in the South East, we believe this will be an excellent addition to our portfolio and a fantastic opportunity to reach more customers. Our design team have come up with a very exciting, opulent interior design, which I am sure shoppers will love.”
The company has plans for further expansion this year and is set to open a new store in the former Watches of Switzerland shop in the Argyll Arcade in Glasgow.
