Chester-based jewellery brand ChloBo has appointed two new directors in marketing and merchandising roles.
The new appointments have been made to strategically communicate the brand and rapidly expand the distribution model into renowned stores in the UK and across the globe as ChloBo prepares for what it hopes to be the biggest year yet.
Jo Sass has been appointed as marketing director. Sass brings a wealth of experience in UK and international brand communications having worked for renowned female, beauty and lifestyle brands such as David M Robison, Eric N Smith fine jewellers, Jon Richard, Collection Cosmetics, Vivalis Beauty and Venture Portraits.
It is hoped Sass will raise the profile of ChloBo and strengthen its national position next year.
The end of 2015 saw the firm demonstrate rapid expansion within the UK via the launch of their first national advertising campaign. A high impact partnership with Grazia magazine lead to a significant increase in footfall across stores nationwide, enquiries from new independent retailers and huge interest from major UK department stores.
Sass will be continuing to refine the brand image and positioning to generate an extended market reach next year.
Elsewhere, Jacqueline Kennedy has been appointed as merchandising director. Kennedy has 30 years experience in the head offices of some of the UK’s biggest retail giants including Arcadia Jewellery, Debenhams, Jaeger and Aquascutum.
Kennedy has been hired to help refine the product ranges, to maximise product performance and to develop an improved merchandising calendar to align with the marketing strategy.
Kennedy hopes to improve the overall store sell through mechanism as well as expand the visual merchandising offering across ChloBo’s 100+ store portfolio in the UK.
The staff appointments come with a move into a state of the art HQ in Chester which houses all aspects of ChloBo’s business including design, production, quality control, finance, marketing, business development, sales and branding.
