Chlobo eyes international market expansion

Fashion brand has already won 80 retail partners in UK market.

Jewellery brand Chlobo is set to head overseas with its fashion-led collections, following a sharp rise to the top in the UK market.

The brand, founded by 2012 Professional Jeweller Hot 100 NexGem Chloe Moss, was launched after she went travelling to Bali and watches artisans making jewellery.

Since launching, Chlobo increased turnover 50% in 2011 and is set to increase this by a further 70% this year. The brand has signed up an average of four new stockists each month, totaling 80 partners in the UK.

Chlobo has now said that potential retailers are “queuing up to stock the brand”, with overseas enquiries flooding in. It said that international expansion is “firmly in sight”.

The brand’s jewellery, which includes skull bead bracelets, rosary beads and silver charms, has been worn by Elle Macpherson, Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, The Saturdays and Alexandra Burke.

It recently launched its After Dark and Wish collections for AW12 that include haematite and pyrite stones.
