Christie’s plans £34m rare jewel sale

Autumn jewellery sale will feature 300 rare gemstones in Hong Kong.

Auction house Christie’s is preparing for its autumn jewellery sale in Hong Kong during which it will present more than 300 rare gemstones and pieces of jadeite jewellery with a total worth of more than US$55 million (£34.7 million).

Included in the sale is a rare 14.23ct fancy intense pink diamond with a pre-sale estimate of US$14 million to US$19 million (£8.8 million to £12 million).

There will also be a selection of yellow and white diamond jewellery on sale, as well as rubies, sapphires and jadeite jewellery, including Cartier jadeite pieces.
