Annual showcase at Chatsworth House raised £1,800 for charity.

CW Sellors raised more than £1,800 for charity at the opening of its annual Christmas Wishes Fine Jewellery & Luxury Watch showcase earlier this month, supported by celebrity guest and Olympic gold medallist Colin Jackson.

Held on November 8 and 9 in the grounds of the Chatsworth Estate, CW Sellors’ annual showcase raised funds for the NSPCC and Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.

TV presenter and Olympian Colin Jackson was also on hand to discuss the ‘Movember’ charitable initiative, in conjunction with Maurice Lacroix watches and special guest Paul Cummins – the artist behind the Tower of London poppy display.

The Christmas Wishes event, which has been run by CW Sellors for the last six years, welcomed guests to shop fine jewellery and watch collections from British and international brands. A range of fundraising activities were also on offer to visitors, including one event that challenged the public to spot a real diamond from a sea of cubic zirconia.

The Alice in Wonderland-themed event also featured an array of bronze sculptures from James Copplestone Workshops, with luxury jewellery collections on offer from Rebecca Sellors, Shaun Leane, Hans Krieger, Ponte Vecchio and watches from Brietling, Longines, Graham and Ball.

Christmas Wishes also offered talks from industry experts on a range of subjects including British gemstones, watch complications, hallmarking and diamonds.

This year, CW Sellors is the major sponsor of ‘Christmas at Chatsworth’, including a festive pop-up boutique selling silver and gold pieces set with Derbyshire Blue John; statement diamond designs; signature collections in Preseli Bluestone and Whitby Jet; antique Victorian suites and a selection of ornaments.

CW Sellors founder and director, Chris Sellors, commented: “Chatsworth was one of our first customers and we have consistently worked closely with them to provide their customers with the finest locally made jewellery and have developed collections inspired by the house and estate. Chatsworth is synonymous with heritage, family and quality which are key values that we uphold as a business.

We have hosted our Christmas Wishes Fine Jewellery & Luxury Watch showcase in the grounds for six years and as an extension of this, 2014 sees CW Sellors becoming the major sponsors of Christmas at Chatsworth and as such we felt it the perfect timing to have a presence, it is fantastic to be able to build on our long standing relationship and explore this new avenue.”
