Brand already sells on Japan Airlines; now pushing domestic market.
Clogau is in the midst of making a push into the Japanese domestic jewellery market, with an appearance the International Jewellery Tokyo (IJT) trade show, which closes tomorrow.
The brand already has representation in the Japanese market through airport retail and in-flight on Japan Airlines, though the Moodie Report offers that its appearance at the show represents a push into Japan’s domestic fine jewellery market.
It is showing its bridal lines at the show, alongside its silver collections. Artemis Couroupaki, Clogau new business development manager for the Asia Pacific region, said: "The bridal segment is particularly strong in Japan and a heavenly match for Clogau, given the brand’s connection with the British royal bridal tradition.”
Couroupaki was hired in 2011 to help boost international growth for Clogau.
