Jewellery buying group the Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) has invested in its marketing to enhance both member and supplier benefits.
The CMJ will be working closely with marketing agency, Cognition, to enable more dynamic communication and provide an improved platform for members and suppliers, which in turn will aid growth and strengthen its negotiating power.
The launch of a new website and a marketing automation platform will allow existing and new members to download templates and marketing toolkits to help them promote themselves locally, achieve greater visibility and better manage the suite of benefits CMJ supplies.
In addition, there are plans to help suppliers download retailer information, making the relationships between supplier and retailer closer.
CMJ chief executive officer, Terry Boot, shares: “This investment underlines our commitment to our members and suppliers. Our new website will give all stakeholders a greater suite of assets to help them increase visibility and sales, while our communications channels will now be more streamlined. We’ve invested in an automation platform to make sure we are supplying the right information, at the right time and to the right audience.
“We will be working closer with members to ensure they utilise the raft of benefits we can offer over and above being the UK’s largest independent retail jewellery buying group. These include financial flexibility, networking, HR, accounting and insurance services, training and of course marketing.”
Boot continues: “We have some very ambitious growth plans, and the only way to realise growth is through attracting new members with products and services that are second to none, and helping current members to make the most of the benefits that fit their commercial needs.
To this end, the CMJ is looking to boost its team and appoint a membership development manager to help grow its member base, be the point of contact for all existing members, and help improve engagement between members and suppliers.
