The Group’s eleven days of networking events impressed members.
The Company of Master Jewellers’ (CMJ) executive team is celebrating the success of its regional meetings programme, after retailers enjoyed 11 days of networking events across the UK and Ireland in May and June.
Throughout the series of events, the CMJ discussed its activities with its retail members in areas including Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester, Rugby, Wolverhampton, Newmarket, Hatfield, London, Sevenoaks, Chichester, and Bristol.
Members were able to learn more about how the CMJ operates on a daily basis, while being given the opportunity to voice their quires and give feedback on the Group’s strategy going forward.
CMJ chief executive Willie Hamilton said: “As the CMJ has grown so dramatically over the past few years, we have been listening to members who have told us they would prefer to network on a more regular basis in smaller, informal groups. This series of meetings, which we will be repeating again in the future, has proved to be extremely worthwhile in helping us listen to our membership and for our membership to more fully understand the strategy and direction that the CMJ is taking.”
CMJ member Angel Richmond-Davies of Davies Jewellers, commented: "Once again an inspiring day spent with fellow CMJ members. Thank you to the CMJ team for the exceptional organisation. I will go home feeling positive and buzzing with ideas."
Fellow member Peter Vandome of Andersons of Wawrick, added: “All members should attend as it is always the topics you don’t expect that give you the most benefit. Also I may have made a contact to buy pre-owned watches from another member – I was not expecting that.”
The CMJ will be holding further networking sessions for members and its approved suppliers at its UK Jewellery Business Conference in October.
More details on the conference and how to book tickets to attend will be released soon.
