CNBC seeks jewellery retailers for new TV show

A TV production company based in London is looking for budding jewellery retailers to take part in a new series for CNBC.

Hub TV is working on a fast-paced factual entertainment show that will see talented start-ups compete to win £20,000.

Each week, two entrepreneurs with similar retail ideas will go head to head as they create their business from scratch.

They will be given seed money and set a series of challenges as they head to China to research their area and source products direct from factories or wholesalers.

On their return from China, candidates will have a set amount of time to create a pop-up shop and an online store. The winner will be the person who turns the biggest profit.

“Hub TV is looking for people from all over the country who have a great business idea but haven’t yet done too much with the process of getting it up and running. The candidates need to be 18+ with no age limit,” the production company said.

“After having a phone chat to find out more about them and their idea, we will then Skype the candidates, and CNBC will then select their final contributors for the series.”

 Candidates must be available for filming in late October and or early November.
