Birmingham-based jewellery manufacturer Deakin & Francis has placed a canine charity at the heart of its business with a range of new cufflinks.
The ‘Fine Hounds’ capsule collection, which contains 23 pieces featuring a range of the most popular dog breeds, is crafted from sterling silver and set with cabochon blue sapphire eyes.
“A gentleman’s best friend is most definitely of the four-legged variety and as we celebrate the Chinese Year of the Dog there was no better time to launch this collection,” says James Deakin, the brand’s creative director.
He continues: “Said to bring good fortune, these fine breeds began life as hand-carved models. Capturing each dog’s characteristics and features was of key importance; I really wanted a capsule collection of top dogs.”
For the collection the heritage brand has teamed up with the UK’s largest dog charity, the Dogs Trust. For every purchase made from the Fine Hounds range, a donation of 10% will be made to the charity to help make a difference to the lives of thousands of dogs.
Henry Deakin, the brand’s managing director, adds: “We hope our charming chappies will not only look good relaxing on a shirt cuff, but will also help with the well-being of the dogs in their care. Just like the real thing, these cufflinks are sure to be the perfect companions for life.”
The range, which is available to order today starts from a trade price of £110 and has a recommended retail price of £265.
