Manufacturer to showcase its new catalogue at Birmingham trade event.
Birmingham Jewellery Quarter-based manufacturer, Continental Jewellery, is stepping its activities up a notch in 2015, presenting its core ranges and a brand new catalogue to showcase its 9ct and 18ct gold jewellery collections.
After smashing its targets last year, the company now plans to continue its focus on the independent market, where it has seen 25% sales growth.
Over the past 12 months, Continental has seen sales of its 9ct and 18ct gold pieces soar, with single stone pendants, stud earrings, eternity rings and channel-set bangles performing particularly well with retailers.
Many of these pieces feature in Continental’s core range – a concentrated offer of yellow gold pieces – which general manager and Professional Jeweller Hot 100 Business Big Shot Peter Mooney hopes to expand upon in 2015.
It is understood that top-selling products will be available in 9ct and 18ct white, yellow and rose gold, alongside a new collection of three and five stone rings.
Mooney explains: “Our best selling product from 2014 was a 9ct channel set bangle with one carat of diamonds, so this year we will introduce a half carat version. 2014 saw a slow-down in large diamond pieces and we predict that our core range will continue to grow. Our strength is in unbranded products and we will look to capitalise on this.”
To showcase these pieces, Continental will also launch its first catalogue at J&WB — making reordering pieces easier for its retail customers. Find them at hall 18, stand Q04-R05.
