Cookson Gold introduces Moissanite loose gemstones

New range offers buyers alternative to real diamonds

Cookson Gold is set to launch a new range of loose Moissanite stone early next month, as it extends its loose stone offer.

Moissanite, a created stone, is particularly hard, registering 9.25 on the Mohs scale, compared to 10 for diamonds. Owing to its resistance to scratching, abrasison, chipping and breaking and it has become widely used in imitation diamond jewellery.

Cookson Gold’s Moissanite range will feature gems in round, square and cushion cuts. Gem sizes will range from 2.5mm to 6.5mm in width.

Each Moissanite gemstone in Cookson’s range is produced to exact measurements and is hand faceted by skilled gem cutters.

Moissanite will be available from Cookson’s website at the beginning of May.
