Cookson Golden Tickets prove a hit with customers

Cookson has launched its giveaway and sale as a way to say thank you to its customers.

Supplier gives away eclectic mix of prizes as a thank you to clients.

Jewellery trade supplier Cookson Gold has reported on the success of its Golden Ticket campaign – giving away prizes such as jewellery tools, vouchers and even puppets to lucky customers.

The Golden Ticket campaign was launched earlier this month with Cookson Gold staff choosing customers at random to receive gold tickets, shipping them in customer parcels or giving them out at its trade counters in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter and Hatton Garden.

Cookson has coincided the campaign with a sale online, offering up to 50% off products listed with a golden ticket sale sign.

The campaign and runs until the end of the month with an selection of prizes such including £200 to spend at Cookson, a rolling mill, a family ticket to see the crown jewels, a Spandau Ballet Gold CD, a metal barrelling unit, a jar of Nescafe Gold Blend coffee, an ultra sonic cleaner and cuddly toys.

Cookson Gold e-commerce manager Adam Hunter said: “Our Golden Ticket giveaway has proven to be a great success with customers so far.

“Our Facebook page has been inundated with photos from lucky winners showing off their prizes, and we even had a customer scream with delight at one of our trade counters."

While not every customer will get a golden ticket, in true Willy Wonka style Cookson is giving away "treats" in all of the parcels it sends out in May.

Hunter added: “We’ve put together this big spring blowout to say a massive thank you to our loyal customers."
