Las Vegas trade show Couture celebrated opening its doors for the 20th year yesterday (May 28).
The Couture event brings together familiar names and faces of the retailer and designer community, alongside a number of new additions for this year’s show.
Excitement and enthusiasm defined the 2015 opening day.
Couture director Gannon Brousseau says: “It’s so gratifying to see how genuinely happy everyone is to be here. The designers and brands have worked so hard all year to prepare for this event, so to see all of that incredibly hard work on display is fantastic. And when you walk through the halls and in and out of the villas and everyone is too busy to do more than smile and wave, we know we’ve put together an event we can really be proud of.”
Principal of Muse Showroom, Jennifer Shanker adds: “We’ve already seen a lot of great retailers on the first day and so I’m very happy! We’re also really excited to introduce new designers to long-standing retailers, and long-standing designers to new retailers. We’re looking forward to a really great show.”
Robert Peterman, vice president of Hermes, comments: “If you’re a brand looking for new business, this is exactly where you want to be. The quality of the retailer is exactly what you want, and it’s a great ambiance in which to meet and greet. We’re very happy to be here.”
The Couture show is taking place at Wynn Las Vegas until Monday 1 June.
