Jeweller creates letter opener to be sold through London museum.
Jewellery designer Hannah Martin of eponymous brand Hannah Martin London has become the first fine jeweller to have work sold through the Design Museum’s shop, albeit with a difference.
Martin has created a quirky triangular-shaped letter opener, a play on her The Man Who Knows Everything collection, for the museum shop. The piece is described as combining architectural lines and graphic identity.
The collection at the Design Museum shop will feature pieces from a collection called Series I: The Shaman’s Triangle, part of The Man Who Knows Everything story which Martin dubs “a visual tale” of The Comte de St Germain.
Martin has produced a series of special edition letter openers with sharp angles and razor sharp lines which she says would make the ultimate gift for a beloved design buff or object obsessive.
The letter openers are available in a polished sterling silver version, powder coated solid navy and anthracite grey. The powder coated versions are exclusive to the Design Museum shop and via Martin’s own site, while the sterling silver version will only be available through Martin’s recently updated website.
Triangle–shaped cufflinks, a pink and necklace will also available at the Design Museum shop.
