Lucy Mecklenburgh co-designs silver range launched online this week.

The Only Way is Essex star Lucy Mecklenburgh has joined forces with Diamond Geezer to launch a silver jewellery collection, complete with its own website.

Mecklenburgh, who also launched a line of swimwear this year, has been mentored by Clive Billing, founder of online diamond retailer Diamond Geezer. The company is also manufacturing the collection.

The range has been designed by the Diamond Geezer design team, with Mecklenburgh’s input, at its 4,000sq ft facility in the Cotswolds, using CAD-CAM and rapid prototyping techniques.

The Lucy Mecklenburgh Jewellery line has launched with its own website, and features products such as silver and Swarovski stacking rings, silver hoop earrings and popcorn-style bracelets. The collection also includes “Mecklets”, a playful branding for a range of silver necklaces.

Mecklenburgh said of the launch: “I’m so excited to be launching my first jewellery collection. It’s an absolute dream come true. Clive Billing and the whole team at Diamond Geezer are a pleasure to work with.

“I have an idea and they make it happen so quickly, but keep prices affordable for all my fans. I didn’t want to just put my name to a brand. I wanted to be part of creating one.’

The site also features watches and a section for men’s jewellery, as well as a space for statement pieces.

Diamond Geezer director Clive Billing said: “Lucy was the ideal choice to collaborate with. She knows her fashion, is a beautiful girl who has a grounded head on her shoulders and loves to look good. Together, we have created a fashion and silver jewellery collection we are really proud of. It is affordable to everyone, designed with Lucy’s input.”

To drive awareness of the launch Mecklenburgh is auctioning a £3,500 necklace that she co-designed, set with hundreds of large Swarovski crystals. Proceeds from the sale of the necklace will go to the MS Society.
