Distributor secures international rights with investment.

DMJ has bought a stake in Dutch jewellery brand Nikki Lissoni for an undisclosed sum.

The UK distributor would not comment on the size of the stake, but suggested that the deal would allow it to work with the silver jewellery brand across international markets.

Nikki Lissoni specialises in pendants with interchangeable coin designs, a style that DMJ believes will be the next big thing following charm bracelets.

"DMJ has watched this concept for the last three years and come to the conclusion that Nikki Lissoni was the most outstanding brand”, the company said in a statement.

The brand is already proving itself in the UK and Europe, leading it to open additional factories to keep up with demand, DMJ said.

No additional details have been released.
