Expanded store space to open in November with new diamond jewels.

Drakes Group has revealed plans to expand its Plymouth store space this autumn, taking over four neighbouring units in the city’s Drake Circus Shopping Centre.

The family-run business has confirmed that an "all-new" Drakes Fine Jewellery store will open in November 2014 on the first floor of the shopping centre, alongside the existing Next store.

Taking over four units, Drakes will occupy the current Pandora Plymouth store and the three neighbouring units. With new branding to mark the occasion, the space will include a number of branded jewellery collections from Swarovski, Clogau, Thomas Sabo and Annamaria Camilli, alongside new diamond collections.

The retailer is promoting the new shop opening with updates on the Drakes Facebook and Twitter pages, with the hashtag #SomethingSpecialisComing used to keep customers inquisitive.

Drakes’ Pandora franchise store will relocate to the ground floor of the Drake Circus Shopping Centre, taking over the previous Drakes store location. The Pandora store will open its doors on August 14, offering a complimentary silver Moments bracelet to the first 50 Pandora customers to make a purchase of more than £75 on the day.

The new space will also be a first the first in the UK and Europe to have the new Pandora furniture and styling.

Drakes director Jennifer Manning said: "With our transformations currently taking place, we really thought of everything with our customers in mind and are extremely excited about them. Both new stores will offer a greater sense of space, with contemporary and elegant interiors and most importantly, beautiful jewellery collections. Our customers will be able to enjoy an even better shopping experience than before. We promised to deliver something special and this is just a hint of what’s to come."

During the works, the jewellery retailer will be housed in a temporary store on New George Street.
