Amy Brenan has recently left her role as head of jewellery at Duke’s Auctioneers to take over a successful retail jewellery business in Wareham.

Following 10 years at Duke’s Auctioneers, Brenan has transitioned to Wareham-based jewellers Heirlooms, which specialises in antique and period jewellery.

The retail business was established in 1986 by husband and wife duo Michael and Gabrielle Young. The pair built their reputation for offering high end, affordable antique pieces of jewellery in the area.

Following the couple’s decision to retire Brenan was selected to take over the running of the shop with the hope she would “bring the business into the 21st century.”

Following the announcement Brenan told Somerset Live: “I have spent 10 fabulous years at Duke’s as a general valuer, building my specialism and ultimately growing and running the jewellery department.

“Jewellery and silver has always been my passion and having been an avid customer of the shop, the opportunity to take on a project doing what I love most, and become a business owner, ticked every box on my career wish list.”

Brenan is proud to be a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, an internationally recognised mark of professionalism which ensures that my valuations must meet strict guidelines.
