Edinburgh’s Laing the Jeweller has exclusively launched luxury Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet in its Laing Watch Gallery, said to be Scotland’s largest dedicated watch space.

The retailer has become the exclusive stockist of the brand in Scotland, and says it was selected by the brand to be the exclusive retailer.

“An Audemars Piguet watch is the ultimate investment piece, and demand is already high for the watch collection. It never fails to amaze the Laing team that despite this era of austerity, when it comes to investment pieces, people are still willing to spend," he added.

The timepieces retail from £10,000. Audemars Piguet is still owned by its founding family ancestors and is renowned for its dynamic image and use of cutting edge technology. Its brand ambassadors include FC Barcelona footballer Leo Messi, Formula One racing driver Michael Schumacher, and international golfers Darren Clarke and Rory McIlroy, winner of the US Open Championship 2011.
