High street retailer to introduce high-end Belgian diamond collection.
Ernest Jones has announced the launch of the Tolkowsky diamond jewellery in its retail stores, a fine diamond collection from the historical diamond house of the same name.
In launching the fine jewellery brand, Ernest Jones is offering consumers the opportunity to buy high quality, prestige jewellery, but with the twist that it’s available the high street.
To celebrate this launch, Ernest Jones will be offering three Tolkowsky jewellery designs – the most valuable jewellery items the retailer has ever sold.
The collection will see the arrival of the Tolkowsky Tumbling Suite: a white gold tiara set with 8.51cts of diamonds, a white gold necklace with a total of 19.15cts of diamonds and a matching pair of earrings set with 4.45cts of diamonds. The Tumbling Suit will only be available for a limited time, but offers consumers the chance to see the fine jewellery Tolkowsky will be bringing to Ernest Jones.
As one of the world’s leading diamantaires, Antwerp-founded Tolkowsky has worked with fine diamonds for 200 hundred years and is known in the diamond industry for inventing the Ideal Cut diamond.
To ensure Tolkowsky diamonds have the maximum brilliance, grandfather and current CEO of the eponymous brand, Marcel Tolkowsky, set out to define the ideal proportion of a diamond’s cut to maximise effect. The result was the Ideal Cut which is a perfectly symmetrical round brilliant cut diamond designed to offer excellent return of light.
Tolkowsky only use stones certified by leading independent gemological laboratories, who view the diamond under magnification to establish that aspect and guarantee that quality with an internationally recognised certificate.
